Our Impact

Danse d'amour was established August of 2012. Since that time we have serviced more than 150 dancers of all ages. Ours students come to us from a variety of ethnic and economic backgrounds. We are committed to giving young dancers the opportunity to explore and grow in the discipline of dance regardless of where they come from.

Our Programs

Danse d'amour dance studio offers dance education in all genres of dance for all ages. For those students that are extremely serious about dance, we have a competitive dance company.

Ballet

Ballet is the genre of dance in which all other genres of dance are built upon, including hip hop. Ballet teaches technique, discipline, balance, coordination, patience, grace, and posture. It also helps to strengthen the core. We recommend all students in our program take atlas one ballet class per week. It is mandatory for our competitive students to take at least two ballet classes per week.

Tap

Tap is a fun genre of dance. Tap dancing is beneficial in many ways some of those benefits include, increasing cardiovascular conditioning, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Tap dance combinations build strength in the legs and feet in addition to increasing flexibility in the hips, knees and ankles. Cognitive abilities are also enhanced, as tap dancers must develop both mental and muscle memory to become proficient at tapping.

turns & leaps

Leaps & turns is a class is designed to work on strength, flexibility, and the 'tricks' of dance. It is meant to improve dance technique. No choreography is taught in this class, though short combos might be used to link skills together.

Jazz

Jazz dance focuses on learning proper dance techniques such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary, and Jazz Funk to help develop a well rounded dancer.
